In Claude Code, type /mcp, pick rankhero and choose Authenticate.

A browser window opens on RankHero. Sign in and click Allow.
Prefer an API key, for CI or a shared machine? Add --header "Authorization: Bearer rh_live_..." to the command, with a key from Keys in the console. A key uses your plan's daily limits too, never API credits.
Then try typing: Analyze the Etsy shop MugsByMaya. After you sign in, Claude Code shows under Connected apps, where you can disconnect it any time.

Does it cost extra?
No. Each tool uses the daily limits of your plan, the same as when you use it on the website. It never spends API credits.
Is my account safe?
Yes. You sign in on RankHero's own page, so Claude Code never sees your password. You approve the connection once and can remove it any time under Connected apps.
Can Claude Code change my shop?
No. RankHero's tools look things up and write suggestions. They never change anything on Etsy or eBay.
Do I need to know anything technical?
No. If you can paste an address and sign in, you can connect it. The steps above show the exact clicks.
Do I need an API key for Claude Code?
No. The command above signs you in with your RankHero account in the browser. A key is for a machine that cannot open a browser, such as CI.
Does it work in every project?
Add --scope user to the command and RankHero is there in every project. Without it, it belongs to the project you ran the command in.
