FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
They're estimates derived from publicly available signals (reviews, favorites, Etsy's API). Treat them as directional: great for relative comparison and trend-spotting, not exact financials.
Yes. The data we use is all publicly visible on Etsy. Use it to audit your own shop, study competitors, validate niches, or just get inspired by what successful shops look like under the hood.
"More sales than X%" tells you where the shop sits in Etsy's overall sales distribution. 90% means it sells more than 90% of shops on the platform, which is useful for benchmarking quickly.
They reveal how a shop positions itself in Etsy search. Patterns in the most-used tags tell you which keywords are driving discoverability. Apply the same approach (with your own products) to compete in the same niches.
Each row shows what % of reviews fell at that star level. A heavy concentration in 5-star with very few low-star reviews signals consistent quality. If you're seeing meaningful 1–3 star activity, scan those reviews to find the recurring pain points.
Indirectly, yes. The most-used tags surface the language a successful shop uses. For dedicated keyword research with search volume + competition data, jump over to the Tag Generator or Keyword Generator.
Listings, reviews, and basic shop info come from live Etsy APIs. Sales estimates are recomputed regularly. Treat the snapshot as recent (within the last day) rather than literal real-time.
A vacation badge appears next to the shop name and the listings won't be available to buyers. Historical sales/review data is still shown, but recent activity will look paused.
