For Etsy listing videos, square (1:1) is the safest choice. It displays consistently across the gallery and on mobile. Use 9:16 if you also plan to repurpose the video for Reels or TikTok, and 16:9 for landscape banners.
Etsy allows listing videos between 5 and 15 seconds. Around 8 seconds is a sweet spot: long enough to show the product from a few angles, short enough to keep buyers engaged. Our default duration is set there.
3 to 6 photos works best. Lead with your hero shot, follow with detail and scale shots, and end on something that conveys use or context. More photos than that and each slide gets too short to register.
