Etsy listing videos are 5 to 15 seconds. You can still make a longer video for other platforms; you'll see a note and a one-click fix if you want it for Etsy.

How long should an Etsy listing video be?
Etsy listing videos are 5 to 15 seconds long, and longer ones are cut off at 15 seconds. Around 8 seconds is a good length: enough to show the product from a few angles without losing the buyer's attention. New videos start at 8 seconds, and you can go longer if the video is for another platform.
What shape should my video be for Etsy?
Square (1:1) is the safest choice for Etsy listings, because it displays the same way in the gallery on desktop and mobile. Use 9:16 if you also want to post it on Reels or TikTok, and 16:9 for wide placements.
How many photos should I include?
Three to six usually works best. Start with your best shot, follow with details and scale, and end on the product in use. You can add up to 20 images, but with many photos each one is on screen too briefly to register.
Will Etsy accept the file?
Yes. The video downloads as an MP4 (H.264) at 1088 pixels or more on the short side. If your browser can't record MP4, it uses another format Etsy accepts, such as QuickTime.
Can I put a background behind transparent artwork?
Yes. Add a color and an optional background image beneath transparent PNG or WebP artwork. Both appear in the preview and the download, and opaque areas of your artwork stay visible.
Do my images leave my browser?
No. Video Generator runs entirely in your browser. Your photos are processed on your device and the video is made there too. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
