Although they are seven years apart, Mark and his older brother Tom were drawn to the same thing: building.

They were always making and tinkering, and just as importantly, figuring out how to sell what they created. That curiosity eventually led them to open an Etsy shop. The products sold well, but something felt off. They knew there were more buyers out there. The problem was those buyers could not find them.

At the time, Mark was working as a webmaster and studying business analytics and information systems. When he applied what he knew to their shop, everything changed. Traffic grew. Sales followed.

As Mark spent time in Etsy forums and on Reddit, he saw the same frustration everywhere. Talented creators were struggling to stand out in search, even with great products. Mark realized SEO felt confusing and inaccessible. That was not fair.

He set the shop aside and focused on solving the discovery problem itself.

Mark built Buyer Check, a tool Etsy sellers quickly began sharing with one another. That momentum led to EtsyCheck, which eventually became RankHero. Throughout the process, Tom was there as a sounding board and steady big brother presence, helping shape ideas as they turned into tools.

The philosophy stayed simple. Etsy sellers are the heroes of the story. The tools are their sidekick, quietly helping their work get seen.

Today, Mark builds easy to use, powerful tools that help creators stand out without the guesswork. Tom serves as an advisor and head of brand strategy, guiding Mark's vision with clarity and long-term perspective.
