The Final Value Fee (FVF) is eBay's primary selling fee, charged as a percentage of the total sale amount (item price + shipping). Rates vary by category: most items are 13.6% for the first $7,500, then 2.35%. Store subscribers (Basic and above) get reduced rates starting at 12.7%.
In addition to the FVF percentage, eBay charges a flat per-order fee of $0.30 for sales $10 or under, and $0.40 for sales above $10. This fee is waived for Athletic Shoes priced at $150 or more.
Since 2021, eBay handles all payments through Managed Payments. There is no separate PayPal fee. Payment processing costs are already bundled into the Final Value Fee structure. The per-order flat fee ($0.30–$0.40) is the only explicit transaction line item.
Yes. Basic, Premium, Anchor, and Enterprise store subscribers get lower FVF rates. For example, most categories drop from 13.6% to 12.7%, and the high-rate bracket drops from $7,500 to $2,500. Starter store subscribers pay the same rates as non-store sellers. Store subscriptions start at $4.95/month (annual plan).
Promoted Listings Standard uses a cost-per-sale model. You set an ad rate between 1% and 20% of the total sale price. The fee is only charged when a buyer clicks your promoted listing and purchases within 30 days. It is charged on top of the Final Value Fee.
